This is such a brilliant guide with so many beautiful photos. It’s a great place for travellers, as the bustling city offers so much to see and do! I am glad to hear you had a positive experience visiting Marrakech. I think Morocco is wonderful, but you need to have a thick skin and a bit of travel experience to fully enjoy it, especially if you haven’t been outside of Europe. The architecture is absolutely beautiful. I can understand why one should take a little longer to explore Marrakech – it can be quite overwhelming. Like you, I also like the palace … the tiles are absolutely stunning. And the colours (and flavours) at the Souks must be a wonderful experience. Your post seems like a great guide should one would like to visit Marrakech – thanks for your effort in putting this together Hannah.

Thanks Leighton, glad you like it. The museum was great, and really not too crowded at all – and yes my husband lost me a couple of times as I’d blended in to the walls!!

I think it depends on what you are used to in travel – if you’ve only been in Western cultures before I can see why Morocco would feel ‘harassy’ (I’ve no idea what the right word is!!) but if you’re used to other cultures, it’s no different to many other Middle Eastern/African places and as long as you say ‘no’ and keep your wits about you, it’s totally fine. My experience was definitely positive and the city was for sure magical (if not complete chaos and exhausting at the same time!)

The tilework is just incredible, I loved the architecture as it was like constantly being on a movie set!!
