These type of places are never a joyous visit, but like you said, it’s important to know the history in order to fully understand a country/city. It certainly must have been difficult to visit, thank you for sharing the history here.

I couldn’t agree more about how important it is to learn about our history, even the bad bits. I honestly can’t even begin to imagine how difficult it must have been to be under the communist regime. Thanks for sharing.

I know what you mean – it’s just so important to visit and learn and it’s crazy that these things happened. I am always surprised by humanity’s cruelty to one another, but perhaps that is a good thing. We need to make sure we don’t take freedom for granted, that’s for sure. Thanks for reading 🙂

Very educational post. It reminds us of the feeling we had after visiting the Anne Frank museum in Amsterdam. So sad, we needed a good stiff drink afterward.
