Ah yes, it’s such a lovely city. The first time I went I didn’t really leave the Mall, so on my return trip I explored a little further afield which was definitely worthwhile. I hope you’re able to return one day 🙂

A lovely introduction to DC. I’ve only visited once and that was a brief trip 30 years ago so I’d love to return when travel permits as we didn’t do the city justice the first time around. Marion

I thought the timing was right to include Arlington, it is also rememberance day here in the UK. And yes, definitely lots of amazing places to eat in DC too – I hope you can return soon 🙂

I’d definitely recommend visiting the National Library too if you’re a bookworm and want to get out of the cold (in the winter) or heat (in the summer)!

This is the right date to show Arlington, it is indeed in a very moving place, but at the same time the beauty of the park with its tall trees and rolling lawns, leaves a feeling of great soothing serenity.

It’s been over a decade since I last visited Washington, DC. I have faint memories of the US capital, but I appreciate you writing a post on it, especially on Veterans Day in my country!
