Infertility — and dear goodness, everything you went through — is such a painful journey on so many levels. I’m glad you are OK but so sorry for the losses you’ve experienced, and I will be thinking of you and praying for you as you process through all of this.

Thanks so much for your kind words Aiva, I really appreciate them. It has been a rough time, but I’m feeling a lot more positive now and like you say, giving ourselves time to heal and do nice things to start feeling happy again. It’s important we talk about these things, so many people go through it and it’s very often not spoken about .Thanks again Aiva, xxx

But I am so glad that you are alive and have found the strength to write about such a heartbreaking experience and share it with the world, Hannah – you have a life experience and empathy that could really benefit others.

When miscarriage, child loss or stillbirth occurs, often society’s attitude is not to talk about it for fear that it’s too upsetting. But not talking about it is often very hurtful to those affected and only compounds society’s fear of speaking about such important topics that are sadly very common. My heart goes out to you and your partner – be gentle with yourself and give yourself enough time to heal. Sending lots of love and virtual hugs your way 🙂 Aiva xx

Thank you so much Mike for your really kind words. I also think in a way it is a positive because even though I won’t have the ‘Plan A’ life, I will have the appreciation to live in the moment, enjoy the small things, travel more, and have a very fulfilling ‘Plan B’. Like you say, we often take it for granted and being reminded how precious life is is a powerful thing. Thanks so much for reading and sending your best wishes, it’s much appreciated 🙂

But I have to say how brave you are – not only going through all of this, but in sharing it publicly. The word ‘awe’ is often over-used, but not this time. I am sure it will benefit others. As for life – you have it, it is a wonderful thing and we often take it for granted; I’ve had a couple of brushes with the alternative myself. Take care of yourself, Mike.

I’m in awe of your strength, it must take a lot of you to share this. Take care of yourself, and gentle hugs from afar.

Thanks Petra, really appreciate your lovely words. It’s been a rough ride, but I’m excited for adventures going forward and will be glad not to go near a needle again for a long time 🙂

However, this is a great and honest post and I hope it helps you to share and that it will help others who need to read this at this point in life.
