Hehe I think English place names are a complete minefield for pronunciation. I live near a village called Houghton, and half the locals call it ‘How-Tun’, some call it ‘Hoff-tun’, some call it ‘h-oat-on’. Honestly impossible. So lad you enjoyed the little trip around these two old houses 🙂

The courtyard at Coughton Court (in “worrick-shuh”) is lovely! What? 19 Children and 112 grandchildren … how do one remember all of their names?
And love the ceiling paintings in Hanbury Hall, as well as the green-green gardens. Thanks for the tour Hannah and (some entertaining) tales 😉.
